Comprehension training focuses on higher-order skills such as inference, tone, writer’s intent, and summary-oriented thinking, using text-based practice that mirrors school expectations. Writing instruction expands students’ ability to handle different task demands, including situational writing and continuous writing with clearer structure, appropriate register, and stronger development of ideas.
Timed practice is introduced more deliberately to build speed and reliability, while feedback targets recurring weaknesses with practical improvement steps.Â
