Our Teachers

Our teachers are highly experienced in Singapore’s school context, skilled in teaching English comprehension, composition writing, grammar in context, and oral communication skills aligned with MOE outcomes. Our SEN educators excel in differentiated instruction, using multisensory structured literacy and individualised plans to support learners with dyslexia and other learning differences. They ensure every child receives the guidance and strategies needed to thrive in their learning journey.

Guiding Every Learner, Together: Personalized Support and Expert Teaching for Every Student’s Success

Our teachers build genuine connections with each student, creating a safe and encouraging environment where learners feel understood and valued. Through these strong relationships, students gain the confidence to take risks, embrace challenges, and grow both academically and personally. Every child is supported to believe in themselves and reach their full potential.

Teacher Ee Laine is an educator with over 10 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, curriculum development, and educator training. In her recent work at YMCA, she has created structured programmes and lesson materials designed to keep young learners engaged through storytelling, clear routines, and purposeful activities—while ensuring learning goals remain measurable and meaningful.

Ms Ee Laine has hands-on experience teaching kindergarten and primary students, tailoring lessons in English to each child’s learning needs. She uses continuous assessment and adapts her approach so students feel supported while steadily building skills and confidence.

In learning centre leadership role, she also guided teachers, communicated closely with parents, and taught across areas such as creative writing, grammar, public speaking, and personalised speaking lessons—giving her a strong foundation in helping students express themselves clearly and effectively.

She holds a Bachelor of Education (Special Needs) to deepen her expertise in inclusive teaching.

Teacher Michelle Tan is a Cambridge-trained English educator with 15+ years of experience teaching and developing learning programmes internationally. She holds the Cambridge CELTA and Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT), and has taught learners across a wide range of ages.
In addition, she is also a lecturer with NUS and at a local polytechnic, bringing strong academic rigour and clear teaching structure to every lesson.

Teacher Michelle Tan incorporates engaging strategies and learning technologies where appropriate (e.g., interactive tools used in training and workshops) to keep lessons focused, motivating, and effective.
